PANNING PHOTOGRAPHY

In photography, known a technique called the panning. This technique usually used to photograph a moving vehicle. Object can be a race car, or a motorcycle that was speeding. In some of the photos I've seen this technique used for photographing animals in motion and the results were incredible. Photos taken with a panning technique will look dynamic. Nuance speed will be very visible. Panning technique is devoted to recording the speed effect of an object that is moving from one side to the other.

Yesterday, in our photography classes are taught how to use the panning technique. Starting from how the settings on the camera and photo taking techniques. Instructor recommends if you want to do a panning technique should be done when the sun is not too bright, because we will use a shutter speed 1/60 lower, and with a sharp ISO. If this technique is done when the bright sun, a slow shutter speed will make the photo too bright. I think this problem can be overcome by using ND filters to block the amount of light entering. aperture is recommended to use the aperture medium example F10. Due this technique need speeds, auto focus is the main option. If you are a DSLR camera, set the auto focus to servo mode.

After learning the theory, then we try to practice it on front of the parking the Faculty of Engineering Syiah Kuala. Here is some of the images I am using a panning technique.
